Santorum Drops Out of the Race

Rick Santorum has decided to suspend his campaign. He announced today in Gettysburg with his family gathered around him. Santorum has had a hard Easter weekend. His daughter, Bella, got very sick and had to be rushed to the hospital. She has been able to come home since then, but Santorum said the whole weekend had been a time of prayer and thought for the family. They sat around the table talking about the campaign and came to the hard decision for him to drop out of the race.  He said that they made the decision sitting around the same kitchen table as when they decided to enter the race. Though this is hard for them, they knew it was the right thing.

Santorum was in it to win, and from what he said he has. He’s won the hearts of the American people. It was them, all along, he has been running for. Even though he is not in the race anymore he still plans on fighting for America, he said. He is still going to fight for the families of America, for them to have the American dream, though he will not get the presidency in 2012.

I wish he would have stuck around a little longer. Gingrich is happy about this opportunity, though.

Yes, I wish he would have, too. I wonder if this means Gingrich and Paul will have more of a chance or if it will mean it is only Romney in the race now.

I hate that Santorum dropped out, but I am wondering and hoping Ginrich will take advantage of this and maybe even make a major comeback on Romney. I think that Ginrich would be a good match in the debate vs President Obama.

Yes, Gingrich would be the best opponent to Obama debate. However, I think it is very unlikely they will actually debate. Paul does not have a chance. I don’t believe.
