The First Appearance
Tonight for the first time both of the presidential candidates stood on the same stage for a brief moment. Standing between the two was the pastor of Saddleback Church, Rick Warren. Pastor Warren asked each, separately the same questions. The questions ranged from abortion to war to personal faith issues. Once again tonight Barack Obama gave vague long answers and John McCain gave the straight forward answers. McCain at times even was answering the questions before Warren finished.
From the forum tonight I am certain of what John McCain believes, he was extremely straight forward. As McCain was talking he said that “Homeschooling works” and that life comes at the “moment at conception “. On the other hand Obama was not very clear, when asked about stem cell research he was very vague.
If you did not see the forum tonight I would encourage you to see it, because it was very good and informational.

I didn’t actually get to see this event, but I have watched several videos about this event. One of the most interesting things that I heard was when Obama said, when talking about abortion, that answering the question, “When does a human baby get its human rights” and he responded by saying that it was above his pay grade to answer that question. Meanwhile, McCain said that a baby gets its human rights at conception.
Another thing that I thought was interesting was when they were discussing what is rich. Obama first said that being rich is selling 25 million books. Of course he was just joking. He really defined being rich as making over $250,000 a year. On the other hand, McCain says rich is simply having a good family and nice home. He too joked by saying that being rich is making $5 million.
